Organizer of Nepal Pride Parade
Queer Youth Group

Queer Youth Group (QYG) is a non-profit organization committed to advancing the legal rights and social inclusion of individuals with marginalized sexual orientations, gender identities, and sex characteristics. Since its inception, QYG has organized the Nepal Gaurav Yatra (Nepal Pride Parade) in Nepal, providing visibility and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community. The organization offers direct legal assistance to transgender individuals seeking corrections in legal documents such as citizenship and birth certificates. Founded as a network to foster leadership among young gender and sexual minorities, QYG embraces Nepal’s linguistic and ethnic diversity by promoting inclusivity in multiple languages and cultural contexts. Through an intersectional approach, QYG addresses the compounded challenges faced by queer individuals related to language, ethnicity, skin color, geography, disability, caste, and socio-economic status. The organization actively works to dismantle discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC), as well as other intersecting systems of oppression
Queer Rights Collective (QRC)
